We are Hiring for the 2024 Season!

Are you interested in building your whitewater skill level in the Robson Valley?

Stellar’s team consists of a tight-knit crew of 3-4 guides. Ideal candidates can hold all three positions of a raft guide, safety kayak, or Class 4 driver so that the team can operate in a rotation. Stellar Descents also teaches private whitewater kayak and SUP instruction, with opportunities to instruct if you have the appropriate certification.

The season operates from mid-May to September. Pay is competitive, starting at $75.00 per trip.

Minimum requirement includes:

80 hour Wilderness First Aid

SRT Level 3

1+ year of whitewater rafting experience

Assets include:

Class 4 license

Class 3/4 kayaker

BCROA Senior Guide status

We are currently not able to sponsor international raft guides. International guides must have a valid working holiday visa.

There is lodging available close to the rafting base in glamping-style tents with access to an outdoor shower, outhouse, and outdoor kitchen. Guides also have the option to camp at this location in their own accommodation. Valemount also has indoor lodging rental options. Valemount, BC is a small town that booms with mountain biking tourism in the summers and skiing/sledding in the winters. If you like the outdoors and don't like big crowds, you'll love it here.
