Policies and Terms

Payment

Full payment is required at the time of booking. We accept Visa, Mastercard and Amex for website bookings, or will also accept cash or debit payments at the Stellar Descents Base. No additional charges are applicable after full payment is made; all rafting equipment is included.

Group Bookings

All group bookings must be fully paid in advance by credit card. Guests must book on one credit card at one time in order to receive a group discount.  Give us a call to book your group and receive a discount for 8 or more.

Confirmation

After your payment is confirmed you will receive a confirmation number which will also be sent to you by email with your receipt. Your booking is valid only for the trip and date booked.

Cancellation by Guest

We provide a 24-hour cancellation policy for individual bookings on the Fraser, Beaver and Dore River trips. If your group is 8 or more, we require a 7-day minimum cancellation. Group deposits are non refundable. Please note that our trips depart rain or shine.

Please understand that once your trip is booked we reserve staff and resources to ensure your trip runs smoothly. Since few of these costs are recoverable at the last minute, cancellations or reschedules inside of 24 hours (or 7 days for groups of 8 or more) of your scheduled trip departure are non-refundable and you will be fully charged.

Cancellation by Stellar

Although we rarely cancel due to lack of participation, trips are subject to a minimum of 8 guests. Stellar Descents and its agents reserve the right to cancel any trips due to adverse water, weather and related conditions or insufficient bookings; a full refund will be made available in this event.

If we do have to cancel, rest assured we will do everything in our power to offer a comparable substitution. If we have time, we will contact you to offer that solution. In some situations (for example if river levels rise overnight) we might have to make a last-minute decision. In this case, as soon as we know changes are needed, we will let you know. At that time, you can either cancel with a full refund, or you can choose the solution that we have offered.

Liability

Although we take every precaution to ensure that you have a safe and fun trip, whitewater rafting does have inherent risks.

waiver must be completed prior to the trip and is a condition of participation, this will be sent through upon booking. In addition, a Parental Consent form must be completed by the parent or legal guardian of any child under the age of 19 years prior to arrival at the riverbase. This is especially important if you are bringing someone else’s child (under 19 years old) rafting. All children aged 16 years and under must be accompanied by an adult.
